Building Collective Efficacy: What process did your school take in developing your School Growth Plan?

At J.W.Inglis Elementary, our school community is focused and committed to both the identification of student need and the support of the student needs identified. This is a collaborative process between families, our school-based team, education assistants, school counselor, administration, teachers, support staff and all invested members of our school community. Through curriculum, P.A.C, staff, academic review, and School-Based team meetings, we work together to share/analyze data, observations, student growth, and areas to develop. These meetings will continue to take place throughout the entirety of the school year so we can stay responsive to student need.

Evidence-Informed: What data is driving your goal(s)?

We utilize the district programs available to identify trends in student need, such as, Edplan Insight, MyEd BC and multiple district Share Points. These programs collect up-to-date data provided by the teachers and staff directly working with the students. We depend on this data to guide our practice and distribute the available resources to those students in need.
